Solmaz Jafari has got her bachelor’s degree in architecture from Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, and going to be graduated in master of urban design from the University of Tehran. Her thesis focuses on improving and organising informal settlements, using the principles of Urban Acupuncture, during which she studies how can we reach long-lasting improvements. She is also interested in the research field of sustainability, tactical urbanism, place-making, and liveable cities.
As a researcher at TUIC, Solmaz is studying various dimensions of urban acupuncture. The outcome of her research is an issue from TUIC101 series, as well as a long article.
